Our Company Past

Bloomfield Electric Company was founded in 1926 in Bloomfield CT, by Herbert
Schremmer. His son Wayne and a partner assumed ownership in 1975.
In the early 1980's Kevin Calhoun and Roger Baral joined the Company, and in 1994 they assumed ownership.
In 1995 the Company moved to Cromwell CT, into a larger and more centralized facility.

We are a St of CT registered Set-Aside Small Business and a member of
IEC-CT (Independent Electrical Contractors of CT).
We maintain a fleet of construction and service vehicles and equipment, including aerial equipment, ready to serve you.
We are committed to working safely. Our Health and Safety Committee meets regularly and reviews our work habits, and formulates strategies to improve them. The committee is chaired by and comprised primarily of field personnel.
The Health and Safety Committee also selects training programs for our team members, to prepare them to do their work safely and efficiently.
We also regularly participate in on-going training of our staff, including seminars, periodicals, literature and trade shows.
We do these things to better serve you, our valued customer.
